Okinawa High School 1956

Okinawa Shogaku High School was established in 1983 by its original founder and present Chairman/Principal, Masajiro Nashiro. Prior to the inauguration of the new school, the campus was occupied by the former Okinawa High School (1956-1982) under the leadership of the late Chairman Noboru Kakazu.

Upon transfer of management and rights, Nashiro renamed the school Okinawa Shogaku High School. In 1986, Okinawa Shogaku Junior High School was created as an affiliate to the high school. Another historical landmark was made with the completion of the present school building and facilities in 1990 and culminating in the establishment of Shogaku Gakuen, an educational foundation, in 1991 whereupon the the two academic institutions came under its jurisdiction.
